What troubles me about this is that there was no weapon found at the scene yet police are assuring that the residents in the neighborhood are safe. How is this safe? There is someone out there with a gun that could use it at any time they choose. If this was a murder/suicide then clearly the weapon would have been in the vehicle, its not like the shooter shot himself and got out and walked away with the gun.
I'm not sure about you, but there's probably a hell of a lot more than one person out there with a gun that they could use at any time. Does that mean we should lock our doors and stay home, wrapped up in our basements all day.. well, no. Unless you're this lady, who has apparently begun to fear all things (including rationality...).
She continued, explaining that her source for her statement that there was "no weapon found at the scene," was Channel3000 (http://www.channel3000.com/news/18006526/detail.html). Their actual statement about the weapon is as follows:
By noontime, police had towed the vehicle away and left the scene. Police haven't examined the vehicle for a weapon, WISC-TV reported.
Not that they hadn't found a weapon---they haven't looked for one yet. I would have to say there is a key difference in phraseology which someone missed out on.
It actually amazes me how much nonsense most people spew on a regular basis. Think about it.
